Archaeologist
Established in 1995, AIS Environment is a professional environmental consultancy firm providing all environmental services requested by industry related to planning, land use, development and assessment.
Part of AIS Group of companies, AIS Environment is a highly specialised group of environmental scientists, and we are seeking to recruit an archaeologist to join our existing team.
The selected candidate’s roles would be archaeological monitoring, surveying, investigations and post excavation and research work. The selected candidate is expected to have a University degree in Archaeology, with two years work experience as a minimum. Candidates with a Masters degree in Maltese or Punic Archaeology would be preferred. The successful candidate is expected to manage assigned cases and compile documents and reports for the cases handled. Coaching and guidance shall be provided.
Applicants should:
- Be smart, highly motivated and can work on his/her initiative;
- Good communication skills and strong technical writing skills in English
- Be well versed in computerised systems and AutoCAD drawing
- Hold a valid driving licence

Environmental Scientist
Established in 1995, AIS Environment is a professional environmental consultancy firm which provides all environmental services requested by industry related to planning, land use, development and assessment.
The selected candidate shall be required to conduct fieldwork for baseline surveys and construction site monitoring, compile scientific reports for impact assessments and monitoring programmes, interpret data and undertake statistical analysis. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the execution of projects within the set objectives of delivery and quality. He/she would ensure that the customers are satisfied with the level of service provided. The environmental scientist will report to the departmental manager, providing technical support and assisting with environmental queries and quotations.
The chosen candidate shall have a Master’s degree in a scientific subject, preferably on a subject related to Environmental Science. Candidates with professional experience and/or a strong academical background in any of the following subjects: Air quality, Geology, Noise & Vibration, Traffic or Landscape assessments, would be preferred.
