Administrator
 
AIS Environment is seeking to recruit a full time Administrator.
 
Part of AIS Group of Companies, AIS Environment is the first and longest established professional environmental consultancy firm operating in Malta, and provides all environmental services requested by industry.
 
The selected candidate’s main roles would be:
  • Manage the reception desk, greet and welcome office visitors
  • Answering incoming calls and directing them to relevant team members
  • general office administration and retention of appropriate office records,
  • assistance in the compilation of reports,
  • assistance in the compilation of quotations
  • reporting to and liaison with accounts personnel with regards to invoicing and costings.
The position calls for a smart, hardworking person possessing excellent communication and written skills in both English and Maltese. The applicant shall be discreet, well organised, and able to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively. He/she shall have good telephone etiquette, administrative skills and be able to work on his/her own initiative. A valid driving licence is a requirement.
 
The candidate will have post-secondary or Advanced level of education, having good computer literacy, and being well versed in Microsoft Office Applications.
 
Candidates should have a minimum three years experience in a similar environment.

Environmental Data Analyst 
 
AIS Environment is a leading consultancy with over 20 years operating in the environment sector.
 
A vacancy has arisen for an Environmental Data Analyst to work in a team which is responsible for the gathering and management of the various data collected and transform this data into information critical to business decisions.
 
The selected candidate is expected to filter, sort and analyse data and prepare graphical representation of the findings. The successful candidate is expected to translate the statistical analysis into meaningful information and the candidate is required to write reports suitable for publishing, including executive summaries.
 
The analyst must therefore have strong writing and communication skills to translate the numbers and analysis into meaningful words the executive understands.
 
Qualifications 
  • Certification in mathematics and/or scientific subjects as minimum with a qualification in Statistical Analysis considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, etc)
  • Report writing is an integral part of the job and good command on English is a necessary requirement.

AIS Environment - Archaeologist
 
AIS Environment is seeking to recruit a full time Archaeologist.
 
Part of AIS Group of companies, AIS Environment is a highly specialised group of environmental scientists. We are seeking to recruit an archaeologist as an expansion of our current services.
 
The selected candidate’s roles would be archaeology monitoring, surveying, investigations and post excavation and research work. The selected candidate is expected to have a University degree in Archaeology, with three years experience as a minimum. Candidates with a Masters degree in Archaeology would be preferred. The successful candidate is expected to manage assigned cases and compile documents and reports for the cases handled. The archaeologist must therefore have strong English writing skills to prepare the necessary documentation as expected. Candidates are expected to have good computer literacy, and good communication skills in both Maltese and English.
 
A local valid driving licence is a further requirement of the post.
 
The remuneration offered will reflect the candidate’s level of experience, qualifications and demonstrated track record. All applications will be treated in strict confidence.
