Front Office Administrator

AIS Environment is seeking to recruit a full time Front Office Administrator.

Part of AIS Group of Companies, AIS Environment is a professional environmental consultancy firm which provides all environmental services requested by industry including baseline studies, impact assessments, construction monitoring and waste management.

The selected candidate’s main roles would be:

- Manage the reception desk, greet and welcome office visitors
- Handle incoming calls and provide information to caller enquiries;
- Handle the daily mail and distribute accordingly;
- Provide assistance before and during meetings;
- general office administration and retention of appropriate office records,
- assistance in the compilation of reports/quotations,
- reporting to and liaison with accounts personnel with regards to invoicing and costings.


- Post-secondary or Advanced level of education
- Good telephone etiquette
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an office environment;
- Excellent written and oral proficiency in both English and Maltese;
- Strong proficiency with the Internet and Microsoft Office.

- Organised, and can work independently
- Proactive and takes initiative
- A valid driving licence is a requirement.

Environmental Scientist

Established in 1995, AIS Environment is a professional environmental consultancy firm which provides all environmental services requested by industry related to planning, land use, development and assessment.

The selected candidate shall be required to conduct fieldwork for baseline surveys and construction site monitoring, compile scientific reports for impact assessments and monitoring programmes, interpret data and undertake statistical analysis. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the execution of projects within the set objectives of delivery and quality. He/she would ensure that the customers are satisfied with the level of service provided. The environmental scientist will report to the departmental manager, providing technical support and assisting with environmental queries and quotations.

The chosen candidate shall have a Master’s degree in a scientific subject, preferably on a subject related to Environmental Science. Candidates with professional experience and/or a strong academical background in any of the following subjects: Air quality, Geology, Noise & Vibration, Traffic or Landscape assessments, would be preferred.

Applicants should:

- Be smart, highly motivated and can work on his/her initiative;
- Good communication skills in both English and Maltese
- Proficiency in technical report writing
- Be well versed in computerised systems
- Hold a valid driving licence
